Day 1: While Seattle offers senior class trips plenty to see above ground, there is more to see buried beneath the city’s surface. The Seattle Underground Tour consists of three blocks of what used to be Seattle in the 1800s. They have been preserved along subterranean passageways that have been made safe for people to walk again. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the sunken city’s comedic history tour! 605 feet above the city floor you will find yourselves atop the Space Needle! A bizarre twist up here is that the restaurant, SkyCity, actually makes one complete rotation per hour! On the Observation Deck your team feasts their eyes upon some of the most captivating views in the Pacific Northwest. Mount Rainier National Park, Elliot Bay, the cityscape, it’s all here. An atypical public market that actually overlooks the aforementioned Elliot Bay waterfront is nine acre Pike Place Market. Having been in operation for over a century (they began with only eight farmers) they have collected a vast array of merchants from acupuncture to Afghani Crafts imported from the Middle East. Providing two different tours your school group may choose between a historical walking tour along with coffee or a heritage market tour that benefits the Market Foundation with 10% of ticket sales. Boeing Plant Tours lead visitors to one huge establishment where jumbo jets are assembled. This place can fit the Disneyland theme park and then some inside of it’s walls! A must see for aviation lovers and those that are looking to be just plain fascinated!
