EDUCATIONAL TOURS

Atlanta offers several educational trip opportunities. Your group will learn from a visit to the Atlanta History Center where one of the southeast’s largest history museums resides! With two historic homes, gardens, a library and more, this 33 acre tour is an exquisite addition to any educational itinerary. Visit the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center for a glimpse of the dream. See King’s restored birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, the Eternal Flame, Freedom Walkway and his final resting place beside wife, Coretta. Self guided tours are always welcome, however arrangements are required for his birth home where your student tour team will be led by members of the National Park Service. For an interactive carbonated experience, take your student group to visit the World of Coca-Cola! They will learn about the history and variations of Coca-Cola around the world. They will also have the opportunity to taste the variety of sodas produced by the company, yum!

SENIOR TRIPS

While Atlanta is an educational destination, it also has several adrenaline pumping activities and attractions to offer for your class trips! Your group will enjoy spending some of their graduation trip at one of the Six Flags locations: Six Flags Over Georgia or Six Flags White Water. Six Flags Over Georgia has a giant assortment of rides ranked from Mild (like Carrot Patch) to Max (like Dare Devil Dive)! Six Flags White Water has about 50 attractions, one of which is the world’s tallest free fall slides! If your party is not interested in amusement and water parks, they may enjoy a visit to Stone Mountain Park or the Georgia Aquarium! Stone Mountain offers over 3,000 acres to explore with gems scattered about like a summit skyride, train, Geyser Towers, SkyHike adventure course, 4D theater, mini golf, Ride the Ducks, light and laser show, hiking trails, fishing, a covered bridge and more! Georgia Aquarium invites you to 120,000 creatures worth of discovery!

FIELD TRIPS

Students and adults will love a field trip to the World of Coca-Cola. Admire the Pop Culture Gallery, sniff out the Vault of the Secret Formula, see the Happiness Factory Theater and even a real bottling line where Coke is created! Snap a team photo with that classic Coca-Cola polar bear mascot then swim with whale sharks at Georgia Aquarium! Don’t want to get in over your heads? Pet a beluga whale instead! 10 million gallons of water accompanied by amphibians, birds, bony fish, cartilaginous fish, invertebrates, mammals and reptiles is the perfect recipe for a great visit packed with education and entertainment! If you pair this menu with a visit to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center for a look at the extraordinary memorial of the Civil Rights hero or a tour of CNN studios where your group can be a part of moment by moment action, you will create an Atlanta field trip your group will enjoy and remember long after graduation!
