Colorado Springs Senior Class Trips

Colorado Springs has it all --- This is where the fun begins for the outdoor thrill-seekers! Hiking, Garden of the Gods, and the world's highest suspension bridge at Royal Gorge Park. Families, kids, couples….outdoor thrill-seekers and student road trippers alike will agree, this is where your Colorado adventure begins. Just sixty miles south of Denver, your dreamscape of outdoor recreation and activities abound in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region.

Step back in time at Buckskin Joe Frontier Town and Railway, including a thirty-minute train ride of the breath-taking Royal Gorge. Saddle up! In addition to the shoot outs in this western town, you’ll want to go horseback riding with the cowboys giving you all the stories of past times in this western region. Cruise on over to Cave of the Winds in Manitou Springs for a Caving 101 Tour. Dress casual and bring your flashlight as you learn about the depths and wonders of these amazing caverns.

Move ‘em up and head ‘em out! Make your Colorado experience a treasured memory with the Mule Trail Ride at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. Beginning May 2010, the park will offer Mule Trail Rides for a half-hour ride known as View Point Trail. Admission at Royal Gorge Bridge includes over twenty rides, shows and attractions! In 2010 the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park also adds a Native American display in the Mountain Man Trading Post with a complete depiction of a Ute Camp in the 1800s.

There’s no hype with The Halfpipe! Make it a grand finale and hit all the rides and water attractions at Elitch Gardens Theme Park. Forget snow and forget mountains. This is Colorado’s most thrilling snowboard ride where you can thrash, shred and carve your way to the rim of The Halfpipe.  Wrap it up with a chuck wagon dinner at The Flying W Ranch ---- a working mountain cattle ranch located in Colorado Springs that has specialized in western entertainment since 1953. The Flying W has a winning combination of beautiful natural surroundings, an authentic old western town and mouth-watering food that will keep you coming back. This is where the old west comes alive – in Colorado Springs!
