Sandusky Educational Tour

Several islands are near Sandusky and by taking a short ferry ride or by crossing a bridge, students can visit most of them! Meander and beach comb at Kelley's Island, South Bass Island, Middle Bass Island and North Bass Island. In fact, Kelley's Island was named one of the Top 10 "America's Healthiest Beach and Lake Getaways" by Health magazine in 2009!

But there are also plenty of attractions for students just wanting to explore Sandusky Ohio! The Lagoon Deer Park is home to exotic animals and allows visitors to feed deer and pet animals from Europe, Africa, North and South America, Asia and Japan! Fishing their stocked lagoons or simply tossing snacks to the bass and catfish proves to be a great relaxer. The gift shop includes Cherokee crafts, sportswear, jewelry and souvenirs.

Seneca Caverns allows students to escape the sunlight and venture into the world underground. Seneca offers photo tours, caving obstacles, a restaurant, gift shop to commemorate the exploration and helmets and lights for your convenience! This cave was discovered in the late 1800s by two young men that fell into it looking for their hunting dog in the brush. The entrance is much easier to find now!
