Day 1: A visit to the Atlanta History Center is the perfect introduction to Atlanta and a great way to start your group field trip! This 33 acre historic oasis includes two historic houses, a library, gardens, museums, a research center, family farm and more! Depending on when your group trip is, your students may also sit in on lectures or attend festivals! The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center will allow your group to visit Dr. King's birth home and give you the opportunity to pay your respects where he and his wife now rest. The Eternal Flame monument symbolizes the fight for peace still ongoing that Dr. King fought and was assassinated for. Freedom Hall on campus contains a library and conference center and exhibits dedicated to the King family, Gandhi and civil rights activist Rosa Parks. The Heritage Sanctuary (Ebenezer Baptist Church) illustrates the church King grew up in. If your group enjoys science they will love a visit to the Fernbank Science Center! At the Jim Cherry Memorial Planetarium (one of the largest in the country), the emphasis is on lunar exploration, astronomical work and the power of telescopes. The Observatory hosts a giant reflecting telescope positionable by the on site astronomer for your students to see the ultimate landscape, those captured only by extreme magnification! Other activities include labs like Aerospace and Meteorological!

Day 2: A tour of Turner Field will have your group in the dugout, press box, luxury suite, Museum and Hall of Fame, broadcast booth, store, scouts alley, Coca-Cola Sky Field and more! This is a real highlight for sports fans or even those interested in media coverage or coaching. Your student tour group will find a precise replica of the Oval Office, a collection of manuscripts, the crown of St. Stephen, books written by both the President and the First Lady as well as countless more priceless gems! Your field trip group will enjoy a stop by the Georgia Aquarium to mingle with more than 500 species! While there are over 10 million gallons of water housing your new pals, get acquainted with the digital ones as well at the 4D theater! Step behind the scenes to the veterinary clinic for animal care information and then find out how the meals are put together for the resident sea creatures. Other special experiences include swimming with whale sharks, get face to fin with dolphins, play with otters or meet a penguin! Sit in on a lecture or book a hands-on session with beluga whales, stay the night, marvel at a coral reef, grab an order of buffalo wings or head to the gift shop for a plushy of your favorite aquatic friend!
