Atlanta Field Trips

Atlanta is overflowing with destinations that are perfectly suited for field trips! Spend a day at the World of Coca Cola where students can taste soda samples from all over the world, see a working bottling line, and enjoy a 4-D movie. Atlanta also offers an aquarium and zoo along with a wide variety of museums! The lavish 1920s style Fox Theatre offers dazzling performances and revealing tours or the Fernbank Museum of Natural History allows for hands on exploration of the world around us! SKYVIEW Atlanta is a must stop for the ultimate view of the city from the top of a Ferris Wheel reaching nearly 20 stories tall. Other points of interest include the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site where student groups will discover King’s home, his final resting place, and the church where he began his roots in preaching. The Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is a charming cottage-esque estate nearing a century old. This exquisite 12.5 acre setting beckons to those that appreciate hands on art classes such as pottery. Similar is the Wren’s Nest farmhouse where one of our beloved American authors penned treasured children’s tales like Br’er Rabbit and Br’er Fox.
